The broad role of AI in healthcare can be summarized most succinctly as follows:

1. Personalizing medicine: AI adapts to unique genetics/lifestyle like never before.

2. Solving the doctor shortage: within 10 years, the WHO projects a global shortage of 10.2 million health workers, including doctors.

3. Relief from an overload of paperwork: reducing the mountains of paperwork facing doctors and administrators, allowing them to focus on better care

Now of course – that’s just a high level overview, and omits many elements. But it helps you get started in understanding the impact.
